ARALDICA VINI 13.5% ABV
Araldica, founded in 1954, is one of Piemonte’s most forward-thinking cooperatives, specialising in the production of Gavi and Barbera. Their aim is "...to provide a range that is both understandable and accessible. Quite simply, wine for drinking and enjoying."
Grapes for this wine grow on higher altitude, south-west-facing vineyards in the south of the Asti region. They are hand-harvested in late September or early October and fermented in stainless-steel tanks. Once dry, the grapes are pressed and the wine undergoes malolactic fermentation. The final wine is then left to mature for 4-6 months in stainless steel to maintain the fruit flavours, before bottling.
Juicy aromas of blackberries, damson and black cherry carry through to the palate accompanied by soft tannins, savoury pepper spice and a refreshing finish.
Tomato-y pasta, mushroom pizza and plenty of Parmesan cheese!
