BOUTINOT NEW ZEALAND 12% ABV
The first explorers across the great oceans were greeted by the long white cloud which told them they had at last sighted New Zealand. Similar clouds loom over the factory skyline of the once industrial city of Manchester. This range is an expression of discovery and the connection to our northern roots as the base from which we travel.
Grapes grow on specific plots in the Waihopai, Wairau and Awatere Valleys, in a mixture of coastal and high altitude sites. The vines are VSP trained to allow optimum cropping and the grapes to develop fully during the growing season. Grapes are harvested and immediately crushed to tanks for clarification. Each parcel is cool-fermented separately with selected yeast strains, giving a larger selection for final blending.
Perfumed with ripe tropical fruit and a hint of nettle leaf, joined by fresh lime and minerality on the palate. Classic Marlborough Sauvignon Blanc: sappy, clean and delicious.
Grilled asparagus, avocado and prawn salad, or grilled white meats.
