Pablo y Walter Malbec

BOUTINOT ARGENTINA 14.5% ABV

The culmination of a decades-long friendship between legendary Argentinean winemaker, Walter Bressia, and Boutinot ‘s founder, Paul Boutinot, Pablo Y Walter was created to break the mould of heavily-oaked Argentinian Malbecs, and to try and encompass the bright vivacity of Mendoza. We wanted to create a label to reflect this collaboration and vibrancy, so Pablo Y Walter was born!

Production

Produced from 25-yer-old vines in the Agrelo region of Mendoza, specially selected by Walter Bressia to be the perfect expression of un-oaked Malbec. Walter bought three brand new stainless steel tanks especially for this project, somehow finding space for them in his small family bodega. The wine sees no oak to preserve the bright fruit flavours.

Tasting notes

A pure expression of Malbec; deep purple in colour with dark plum and red currant notes. Violet lifts the finish along with velvet tannins and bright acidity.
